She travelled as a member of Team Canada, a select group of high profile Canadians who volunteer to show their support for the troops.

 

They headed to Kandahar Air Field for a chance to celebrate Canada Day with the men and women of the Canadian forces. Wendy was joined by Rick Mercer, Bubbles from The Trailer Park Boys, Ottawa's Amanda Rheaume and her band, Leaf GM Brian Burke, Comedian Andre Philippe Gagnon, and more.
