Women in bondage gear hanging from the ceiling, lasers, rampant shirtlessness, balloon animals...it was just another night out in New York City with Jane's Addiction. The venerable L.A. art rockers treated a couple thousand lucky fans to a free show at Manhattan's Terminal 5 on Monday (July 25), in what was billed as "the world's first 3-D user-generated concert."

A few audience members may have been puzzled by the lack of 3-D glasses-the concert will actually debut in 3-D on YouTube on August 4-but any disappointment faded when Perry Farrell and company took to the elaborate stage and tore into "Whores," joined by two young ladies swinging daintily from the steel hooks embedded in their skin.

The 60-minute, 12-song set was heavy with fan favorites ("Ocean Size" and an epic "Three Days" were standouts), big hits ("Been Caught Stealing"), plenty of bare-chested guitar heroics from Dave Navarro and a light-and-laser show that will surely blow minds in 3-D. After a short break, the band literally brought the house down with a rousing rendition of "Jane Says," as confetti, balloons and inflatable animals rained down upon the audience.

After debuting new single "End to the Lies" last March, Jane's Addiction will issue its fourth album, "The Great Escape Artist," on Sept. 27. Before the album release, Farrell can be seen at Lollapalooza, as the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary next weekend.
