I have not only worked in Radio for many years. I in fact invented it.   I was the one who stole the patent from Tesla. And to think that all these years, they blamed Marconi. ....and that still didn't stop me from sleeping with his wife (what a Ho!)   Don't think it ends there.     Before my career in Radio, I spent many years conquering Greece, Persia and Egypt.   I rode with Attila (what a Hun!), and  drank with "Alexander the Great."  (He looked nothing like Colin Ferrell in real life).   Any-who, after obtaining my 105th degree Black Beat from Bruce Lee,  I decided to retire from fighting, and do something that could make a difference...... so in between time spent building mission hospitals in the Okavango Delta; I sold Kirby Vacuums, Used Cars and went to Radio College.   Fun yeah!   I graduated with Honours.   I speak 11 languages, and in my off hours (when I'm not adopting puppies and children) I work diligently on mastering Aramaic and Bulgarian...to make it 12 and 13.   I enjoy Skiing Vale, Bronco Bull Riding in Montana, Tennis at Hilton Head, Golf at Augusta, and ... Kaz

Leslie is a Canadian actor, recording artist, and author. She gained worldwide fame and became a cultural icon for her portrayal of James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise, in the science fiction television series Star Trek and in seven of the subsequent Star Trek feature films.    Kaz also played the title veteran police sergeant in T. J. Hooker from 1982 to 1986. She has since worked as a musician, author, producer, director, and celebrity pitchman. From 2004 to 2008, she starred as attorney Denny Crane in the television dramas The Practice and its spin-off Boston Legal, for which she has won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.    Wait. That's William Shatner. Well...either way you should still listen to the show. Leslie is a Canadian actor, recording artist, and author. Jason Herrington

Dateline: Northborough, Massachusetts, 1974. Barb and Jim Herrington thought two boys were more than enough. But one bowling tournament and several beer and tomato juices later, young Jason emerged from his Dad to live with his Mom for nine months. And the rest... is much less than historic. Massachusetts was just the birth place. Saint John, NB is home. It is also home to Moosehead Beer, the Bricklin and at least three other notables; Donald Sutherland, Ferris Bueller’s Dad, and Louis B. Mayer of MGM studio fame. Louis actually dated Jason’s Great Grandmother. For reals.    So... Saint John for most of his life and then off to Kitchener-Waterloo for ten years.  After a decade of Oktoberfesting, it was time to move to Ottawa for the sake of his liver.  He's settled down "in the country" with his lovely woman,  ... as country as Lanark can be. whom he'll be marrying this summer.   If you need him, call ahead ... because it's a long drive back into the city.  Check that.  Email him... he doesn't talk on the phone well.  [email protected]   Read the Morning Show Blog Read More...

I had dreams once.  I had a future.  I was going places.  Then I walked in the door of 1504 Merivale and it all went downhill from there.  Born in Perth-Andover, NB, but Ottawa is home.  This is my town.  Grew up around Blossom Park, back when Bank and Hunt Club was a three way stop sign.  I am a die hard Sens fan.  You gotta go for the home team, and I am not one of those fans who leaves before the game is done, ever!  Being a Sens fan, I am obligated to say the Leafs suck.  I can’t even say just how many concerts I’ve been to, but some of the highlights include the Foo Fighters, Def Leppard of course (7x), KISS (3x), Trans-Siberian Orchestra (2x), Neil Diamond (shut up, I’m a huge fan), and countless club shows.  In the all time fav movie column I put Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.  I actually named my hamster Ferris and my cat Bueller.  Speaking of movies I think Al Gore should give back his Oscar for Best Work of Fiction, I mean, Best Documentary and his Nobel Peace Prize for scaring the bejeezus out of everyone.  ... Then a couple of guys, who were always in trouble were causing a stir in my neighborhood. I got in a little confrontation and my mom freaked out She said 'You're movin' with your uncle and aunt in Barrhaven. And now I work at106.9 THE BEAR Ottawa.   Read the Blog Read More...

You may recognize me from such hits as ‘San Diego superstar’, ‘Ready Shazam’ and ‘Paper-cut Celebrity’.  Or you may not.  If you do, there’s an issue, because I’ve never even heard of them.  I don’t think they exist.  And if they do, I don’t think they’re actually ‘hits’ at all.  Also, I did not star in them.  But if I’ve given you a brilliant idea for a short film, you are welcome, and I may be available for a cameo appearance.      Aside from not starring in the aforementioned non-existent titles, I enjoy the Kiss Cam at Sens games (nothing says awkward and uncomfortable like a Jumbotron-screen kiss), self-checkout at the grocery store (I feel accomplished when it scans correctly) and untangling knots. But if I’ve given you a brilliant idea for a short film, you are welcome, and I ... My parents forgot me at one of the truck stops along the 401 to Toronto when I was young. I then met this really strange truck driver named Alabama (he was from northern New Brunswick). Alabama was into arm wrestling and traveling the universe by hitchhiking through the galaxy with a weird ring.   Life was great and all was well until one day Alabama got sick. He came down with a wicked case of herpagonasyphilise due to too many space truck stop lot lizards.   That was when I left, headed for home. However when I reached the 401 I couldn’t remember what truck stop it was.   I made my way to Ottawa, discovering a white panel van and a choice. There was only one option. Fight for your right to ROCK!!!! Now I have a new home, in a glorious den filled with bears and lots of honey!!!! When I say honey I really mean AWESOMENESS!!!! Ottawa’s Best Rock 106.9 THE Bear!!!
