Directions
Walking
For walking directions to the festival, it’s best to picture a landmark. If you can see yourself in front of the Parliament buildings, imagine a short walk west on Wellington Street. This will provide a view of the Canadian War Museum, about a kilometer away. Walk toward the museum and you can’t miss the front gate and the main box office.
Cycling in collaboration with NCC
What a beautiful way to get to the ‘fest! The festival site is bordered by the Trans-Canada Trail, a fabulous tree-lined bike path that runs through Ottawa, along the Ottawa River. RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest organizers will provide secure parking for bicycles right besidethe festival site.

Bus
Due to the convenient proximity of the LeBreton transit station, festival organizers highly recommend the use of public transit. From Orleans to Kanata, or anywhere in between, all main east-west bus routes stop at LeBreton Flats. For more on Ottawa bus service, please visit: http://www.octranspo.com/
Driving
Due to the lack of parking for festival patrons on site, organizers highly recommend the use of public transit, taxis (there will be a taxi stand on site) or parking at one of the convenient locations listed below. These parking lots are all a short walk from the festival site (approx. one km from the festival site) or patrons can arrive by taxi.
Parking locations
Place de Ville, Queen and Kent (nightly rates apply)
Place du Portage, Rue Maisonneuve
Terrace de la Chaudière, Rue Eddy
The Good Companions Seniors’ Activity Centre at 670 Albert St.(directly across from Lebreton Flats) – $10 rate
Please note the following road closures
The Ottawa River Parkway will be closed (between Booth Street and Parkdale Avenue) beginning at approximately 8 p.m., each night of the festival.
Also, Booth Street will be closed (between Scott Street and the Ottawa River Parkway) beginning at approximately 8 p.m., each night of the festival.
Policy for Pick Up & Drop Off of Disabled Persons (Para Transpo Included)
The pick-up and drop-off location for disabled patrons is on Vimy Place at the bus turnaround, located directly in front of the Canadian War Museum. You can access Vimy Place from the South bound Booth Street lane only (not from Wellington Street entrance as it will be closed). All vehicles must vacate the festival grounds once drop off has occurred.
RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest organizers highly recommend that disabled patrons be picked up in front of the museum after 11:30pm. The goal each night is to have the road re-opened by that time. If the pickup time must occur before the roads are re-opened, the alternative pickup location will become the south-bound lane of Booth Street, north of Wellington, behind the taxi stand.
*It is important to note that Bluesfest organizers highly recommended that pickup time occurs after roads have re-opened , which allows for pickup in front of the museum (around 11:30 p.m.).
