Album Review

Fuel 2000's Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 is essentially a reissue of the 1999 compilation of Imperial single and album tracks from the mid-'60s on Capitol called Bang Bang: The Early Years. The running order is different, and there are a few discrepancies between the two, like the cover of Buffy Sainte-Marie's "Until It's Time for You to Go" included here, as well as some Dylan tunes like "Bells of Rhymney," and the absence of "It's Not Unusual." The end result is the same, however, and this is a compelling collection of some of Cher's best early work. [This disc is also a straight reissue of Fuel 2000's 2002 release Absolutely the Best, Vol. 1 only with a new cover.]
