Sonic Concerts and 106.9 The BEAR present writer, director, filmmaker, actor and multimedia cult icon Kevin Smith and comedian Ralph Garmon are making their debut in Ottawa as part of the Hollywood Babble-On series at the Centrepointe Theatres on Saturday, Aug. 25.  Best-known for his reoccurring role Silent Bob in "Clerks," "Mallrats," "Dogma," "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and "Clerks 2," Smith has spent almost two decades infiltrating the entertainment industry on almost every level with his company View Askew Productions.  Most recently he released the independent horror movie Red State featuring John Goodman.  He has also written a series of comics, books and is currently serving as executive producer for a reality show on AMC called "Comic Men," revolving around the life and culture of comic book stores.  Tickets are $59.50 in advance including tax plus service charge and go on sale Friday, June 8 at 10:00am.  Tickets are available at the Centrepointe Theatre box office, Monday to Saturday, 4:00pm to 8:30pm, by phone 613-580-2700 or toll free 1-800-752-5231 and on line at SONIC CONCERTS
