I’ve always been a big fan of road trips.  I love hitting the highway and really seeing things, actually make getting there half the fun.  I’ve done a couple in the last few years, and it is usually about this time of year that I get the itch to go.  A good road trip requires a fair amount of planning.  I don’t mean having every second accounted for like the Griswold’s in any of the Vacation movies, but having things planned so you have a good idea of what the hell is going on and where the hell you are going.

What’s the point?  I came across this video today, it gave me the itch.  I’d love to follow what’s left of old Route 66.  Hmmmm, may have to start working on that one for next summer.
